In collaboration with Sony Startup Acceleration Program (SSAP), Sony Corporation’s new business development program, we will jointly develop and hold workshops for high school and university students to learn about the entrance to social entrepreneurship.
Students acquire the knowledge necessary to start a business and give lectures with practical skills.Focusing on the curriculum utilizing the lean launch pad, it functions as a business mind workshop and input program that leads to the president’s pitch by conducting lectures, practices, and individual project mentoring programs.
It is scheduled to be implemented online in fiscal 2020.

Ritsumeikan University, EDGE+R
Ritsumeikan University EDGE+R (Innovation Architect Training Program) is a program to train people who can create innovative human resources who can create innovation, which has been adopted in the Next Generation Entrepreneur Development Project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and will train people who will try new things both inside and outside the university.We will prepare a variety of programs that transcend the boundaries of faculties as a place where diverse people mix, such as those who want to start a business, those who want to work together, and those who want to solve corporate issues.Through self-autonomous team activities, we provide extracurricular practical learning to experience the “fun” and “process” of creating new value.
We accept students from both inside and outside the university, and organize a human and science fusion team consisting of members from various backgrounds.To date, approximately 1,300 students (2014-2018), including students from 11 faculties and 14 graduate schools on campus, as well as undergraduate students, graduate students, and working adults from other universities, have taken the course.
In fiscal 2020, we are recruiting EDGE-Sprout students all year round, and the EDGE+R program (regular course) is scheduled to be open around September.In addition, during the spring semester of 2020, we plan to hold online public events such as “Entrepreneur and Entrepreneur Talk Event” and “Design Driven Innovation Workshop sponsored by companies.”

READYFOR Challenge Grant
In response to new social issues caused by the new coronavirus, the RIMIX Secretariat of Ritsumeikan SDGs Promotion Headquarters has launched Beyond COVID-19, an online community that supports students, students, and children’s challenges.In this grant, students, students, and children are recruited for projects that challenge social issues, and funds for their activities will be provided as subsidies.In addition, we will support the implementation of projects in public relations by utilizing platforms such as Beyond COVID-19.
This grant fund is raised through the donation crowdfunding “Beyond COVID-19” (https://readyfor.jp/projects/rys-beyond-covid19), a donation crowdfunding company launched on June 5 in cooperation with RIMIX partner READYFOR Co., Ltd.
We aim to realize the project with an idea that opens up the world after corona for students, students, and children belonging to Ritsumeikan Gakuen.In particular, we focus on social issues that emerge with the spread of the new coronavirus infection in the SDGs, and support the projects of students, students, and children who solve these problems through business.We will provide online support in response to a changing society caused by corona.We will approach real-world issues more quickly and effectively by adding online benefits that go beyond distance, time, and cost constraints.

Ritsumeikan University also has a variety of scholarships and grant programs to support extracurricular growth.We provide support for activities of organizations that encourage community formation both inside and outside the university in regular activities, as a “community group formation grant for learning”, and the “+R Alumni Association Future Human Resource Development Grant” supports individual activities that contribute to the resolution of various social problems.We support the activities of students regardless of individuals or organizations, and also hold results report meetings to encourage students’ growth.
Ritsumeikan University Community Group Formation Grant
The Community Group Formation Grant is a grant system aimed at supporting the formation of a group of diverse non-regular learning on and off campus.We aim to increase the number of learning communities that are typical of Ritsumeikan by supporting some of the expenses for activities such as group activities for learning within the faculty, group activities for diverse learning beyond the faculty, and group activities for off-campus learning.
For activities of organizations that encourage community formation both inside and outside the university in regularcuric activities, we will support activities by providing 150,000 yen, 300,000 yen, and 500,000 yen per group as a “community group formation grant for learning.”

+R Alumni Association Future Human Resources Development Scholarship
+R Alumni Association Future Human Resources Development Scholarship connects each alumni’s desire to “the future Ritsumeikan is created by me”, and based on the philosophy of the Alumni Association Future Human Resources Development Fund, in which juniors grow up with the support of alumni and the growth of juniors develops their alma mater, Ritsumeikan aims to create the future beyond himself. it is a system that supports students and graduate students who overcome the limitations and limitations that stand before problem solving, expand their potential, and create new value.
We support individual voluntary activities that contribute to the resolution of various social problems as a “+R Alumni Association Future Human Resources Development Scholarship” and support up to 100,000 yen, 200,000 yen, and 300,000 yen for up to 100 people.
