READYFOR Challenge Grant

Subsidy applications closed. Thank you for your application.

To address new social issues caused by the new coronavirus, the Ritsumeikan SDGs Promotion Headquarters has launched the “Beyond COVID -19” online community to support the challenges of students.

At “Beyond COVID -19”, in order to further grow as a platform to support young people who are taking on challenges, we will develop further activities to solve social issues in view of the society with COVID -19 and after COVID -19.

This grant invites students to participate in projects that challenge them to solve social problems, and grants are provided to cover the costs of these activities. We will also use the Beyond COVID -19 platform to support the implementation of public relations projects.

Resources of this grant is funded by the donation-based crowdfunding program Students’ Challenges Lead to a Future with/after COVID-19″ (https://readyfor.jp/projects/rits-beyond-covid19), which started on June 5, 2020 in cooperation with READYFOR Corporation, a RIMIX partner company.

Features of this grant

  • We support students who belong to Ritsumeikan to open up the world post COVID-19 and aim to realize the project.
  • Among the SDGs, we will focus on social issues that have emerged through the spread of the coronavirus infection and support students and student projects that solve these issues through business view.
  • We will respond to the changing society due to the pandemic and provide support for students project by actively utilizing online.  By adding the benefits of online solutions that go beyond distance, time, and cost constraints, we are able to meet the challenges of the real world more quickly and effectively.

WHY Crowdfunding?

Ritsumeikan Academy has established the school vision “Challenge your mind Change our future” for 2030 and supports the various challenges faced by the students, students and pupils belonging to Ritsumeikan.

In parallel with the emergency support provided by Ritsumeikan Academy, we responded to requests from students who said, “I want to do something because this is the time of the COVID-19 disaster.” on April 16, 2020, we launched “Beyond COVID -19”, an online community for students.

In the future, it will be necessary not only to support the young generation who will be the future leaders of the with/after COVID-19 society, but also to encourage them to take on the challenge of moving on their own with their flexible sensibilities.

As social issues become more apparent due to the impact of the new coronavirus, the Company decided to raise donations through crowdfunding for students who are focusing on social issues in the with/after COVID-19 era and working to solve such issues. By utilizing crowdfunding, we will work with students, including graduates and local residents, to develop “System that does not stop challenges” for students who will shape the future.

Through crowdfunding, we will reflect evaluations from society and support independent learning by students who will be the human resources that will support society in the future.
